What on earth are you doing?

Our work is a photographical investigation into the State of Being of Western Man. Cromagnon insists in creating images that focus on the very basics of Man, hence the Cromagnon. The method they use is called the inverted slider cranc method. This Method consists merely of exercises. We will investigate a subject in an eccentric movement without the wish – or possibility – to reach the centre or an endpoint. Well actually we’re just making fun.

Please check out our archive of works. So you can see what we mean.

“Man is something that shall be overcome. Man is a rope, tied between beast and overman,
a rope over an abyss. What is great in man is that he is a bridge and not an end.” Friedrich Nietzsche

Who are we?

Cromagnon is the collaboration of exercise artists Rene Castelijn and Raymond de Vries. They found each other in the winter of there life. And the sure like being here!
